In honor of tonight's one game playoff in Minnesota, I present to you the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome (click for larger view):
As you may or may not know, this is the last year for baseball at the Metrodome, as next year the Twins move into a new ballpark, Target Field (no, I'm not joking). Anyway, loving architecture, baseball, and stadiums, I had to go check it out, if only because I wasn't going to have another chance. Yes, I admit I'm crazy, thank you. As an aside, when I returned from that trip, which included a stop at New Comiskey (aka US Cellular Field, in Chicago), I found my hard drive had died. Grrr. Which explains the lack of updates. At least, more than usual. I'll post more photos and maybe some details in the future. But I digress.
Who would've thought the last regular season game wouldn't be the last regular season game; rather, they needed a 163rd game. Win or lose, it's a hell of a way to close down the place (and if they win, well, it isn't done yet...)
