As I said earlier, I've been working on my cats for a project. So, here is a lioness!
It's kind of funny how, without color, it's hard to tell a lion from any other cat. But maybe that's just my inability to grok drawing cats correctly yet.
Did quite like the way this came out.
Today is Veteran's Day / Armistice day, a day I know today is usually to celebrate peace. But this day, it was slightly different: I finally did it, did what many have thought almost impossible. I had to leave my NES on for almost 2 weeks, but finally, on 11-11-11, at 3:23 PM, I beat Ninja Gaiden. Huzzah! A game even the AVGN couldn't beat (at least in his tribute review)!
Every time I close my eyes, I still see all of Act VI in my head. You must replay it So. Many. Times. Gah, stupid eagles and monkeys!
I know I'm hardly the first, and that the first game is no Ninja Gaiden III, but dammit, I'm happy with myself right now. Perseverance works! (Should I say that procrastination works? Either way, the little red light on the NES almost seemed to be taunting me every night as I went to sleep...)
Photos of the moment below. Sorry for the cell phone pics of a TV, but I had to grab my phone (the closest thing to me) to record this moment.
And now the NES is off for a well deserved rest; it did me proud, never glitched once. And then, after a break, I can finally play some other games. Once again, huzzah!
Edited to add: And see you next!
Needed to practice drawing something other than dogs for an upcoming project. Not perfect; have a lot of practice to do. I do very much like the way the dress came out, however.
So, I wanted to try a pose kind of curled up in space... bored of the same old, same old. So, well, here one is!
Also, I've been working on cleaning my sketches. Think I'm getting better.
So this was an experiment in trying to color this image. It's just practice, and while it's not perfect, I think it came out pretty well.
Still playing with the best methods, etc. Also, this took way too long to do, but I assume that would come down with practice.
This was a lot of fun: Michelle, who works at my local coffee shop, asked me very nicely for a drawing. I was so flattered! I asked her what her favorite animal was, and she didn't have an answer... I told her that means she was getting a fox. And a fox, she got.
Update: So, I tried coloring this drawing.
So I decided to try working in ink again. A simple image, having fun, kind of a homage to TwoKinds. Mostly practice. May use it for coloring practice.
